Phill what is that a photo of you have on your profile?
Are you from Germany originally or do you just work there, and if you are a German how did you come to support Liverpool?

Hi there, I am originally from Plymouth G.B, but moved out to Germany with the Army, met my wife and have been here since. The Picture is a Photo taken near my House, although i will periodically up-date it, I came to support Liverpool when i was at School about 12-13 years old, and now 37 years old, i now drive my wife up the wall instead of my Mum. I still work for Her Maj, but in other ways!! Germany is a Lovley place, although it is getting a little expensive, and they are Football mad, my father in law is a Schalke fan, but he did watch the game in Istanbul, and when it ended at Midnight he went to work the next day Knackered, me, well i had the next day off!!! Although a couple of people where i lived complained the next day that they heard someone screaming at 12am i told Mum-in-law that it was me!!! hehe.... but there you go, a bit of a long winded answer but i hope that that answers your question....alll the best

Gurdeep, teamtalk is a right pain. You would post something and have to wait hours to see if it would appear. A joke of a system. This is site is so much better.

I post elsewhere occasionally, and browse/lurk elsewhere too, but not under any id recognisable from here! I enjoy my anonymity... Sites include RAOTL, YNWA, RAWK, TLW, EST1892, TIA and others, in no particular order of preference!
I remember the early days of the internet in LFC terms, when there was no official site. The error pages on one site, mightyreds I think, came up with a picture of Steve Heighway as part of a pun on "information superhighway".
Unfortunately one of the earliest LFC forums went bad, and probably isn't worth giving the publicity to here, but it at least got a lot of other sites started.
I did read a lot of usenet in the good old days, the two LFC groups, but rarely posted. It was very much an aggressive little world that I felt. When you did post you either got ignored or flamed! And I was far less controversial then too.
BTW if anyone registers on here using "your" name from other forums let me know, especially if they seem to be doing it to cause trouble for you in some way.

Jim could you put a little picture on the bookmark for this and the other site so that it looks better in my favorites folder instead of just having the internet explororer e.

If you'd had Firefox installed the little picture would already be there, but I've just found that IE works in a different way. But it should be there now, for both sites. It might need you to restart IE, or to even add it again to your favourites, but it's just worked for me by adding it to the favourites in IE.

great to see another person who has been around since usenet days! I am not gonna reveal my handle from usenet days - but I bet you read a lot of my posts! The flaming eventually got far too mcuh to persevere with. So you are now more controversial, Jim? Way to go. I personally enjoy a bit of devil's advocacy/fishing. It gets a few folks wound up.

Hi Dude, as for me personally this is the first forum I have signed up to, but I'm a avid reader of all things L.F.C. on the web, I have also posted comments on various blogs and other Liverpool sites in the short time since I discovered the joys of the 'Magic Box'!!! Looking forward to this new experience!
