Rooney missed training on Tues and Wed apparantly with a 'chill' and with it only being Stoke today, it's a great excuse to pull him out of the England game.

What's a 'chill' anyway? I thought it was something unique to the Queen.

A calf injury aswell. If it had been a groin injury, it could have been put down to blowing his nose too hard. I guess he must have left the tissues on the floor and strained it bending for them.

Man Utd have international friendlies, and excuses, down to a fine art.

Why couldn't Stevie supposedly slip and fall on his wallet or something (before the call ups for such international friendlies).

Or Carra slipped over and fell when he was working his allotment, in his wellington boots.  (yeah I know carra gave up on england yonks ago)

Or Pepe Reina picked up temporary blindness from wearing his bright yellow goalie jersey too long in training.

Strange that, Stevie G is out for 7 to 10 days with a torn leg muscle!   ;)

Not unless he pours his krispies with his feet. Now if we were talking about Rooney.
Slight slippage on wet, tiled, luxury bathroom floor. Scented bath oils tend to make for slippy feet. Oh, the perils of luxury.

Apparently Gerrard has to join up with the squad to be assessed:

Strange how Rooney and Ferdinand don't have to.

And Keane out of the Ireland Squad, due to a shoulder injury!  That the Irish team medics picked up on and was told to go back to Lierpool for treatment!  Lets hope the English team medics do the same with SG!  But not holding my breath on that happening!

Again one rule for the manc's and another for everybody else!  >:(

The travelling, not to mention losing a wholeday's treatment. Couldn't they have simply asked for a copy of the scan?

Incidentally, Ashley Cole is missing through injury yet was on Chelsea's bench at the weekend. Yet not such much as a flickered eyelash from the England camp.
