I agree with you mark. do you think its completely the players faults or should it be the manager who gives them a good kick up the backside when they're are not performing? Personally i think its a bit of both. The amount of money i've spent this year going to all home matches and the occaissional away game(money that i cant really afford but do it anyway) ,the least i expect from the team is some passion. I honestly feel sorry for those who went on Monday. The players should offer to refund the liverpool fans who had to put up with that rubbish. This season so much reminds me of the 2004/2005 season.mediocre at home and atrocious away. It cant end in champions league glory but maybe the europa league has our name on it

My problem with last night was the look of the players in the tunnel before the game. Gerrard and Carra looked like they had just woke up and not about to play for 3pts that could have helped us towards the champions league. This is our captain and vice captain. If their not up for the fight we may aswell throw the towel in now.As much as Rafa is a great tactician is he a good motivator? I think the hairdryer treatment is needed once in a while but i dont think Rafa is capable of doing it

This rant isn't a go at you Kopite!

See this is it. You would think that the ridiculous, RIDICULOUS amount of effing money they get every single week would be motivation enough. They play football for a living. Football... something they love, something we could only dream of doing. Yet they don't have to eorry about bills, mortgages etc. They have to worry about their football, but it doesn't seem like they do. Do the players care? A whole year of this, it isn't bloody good enough.

If I decided to trun up for work one day and just not bother, I wouldn't get away with it. These people are privelaged to put on the red shirt. Show some f***ing pride

Not good and it does hint at my suspicion that there is some friction between some players and Rafa. If he can't get to grips with that then we're going nowhere fast.

Now we know why Carra hasn't got a problem leaving! Can you imagine any manure scum player saying that????

Gerrard needs to get over the fact that alonso has gone and is no longer being carried by him...be a man, stand up and fight and don't let others 'hold you back' when it gets a little rough...

We need new contracts for all our players... any pathetic, spineless, sulking, skillless performance from any of our wonder boys in red will result in a months wages being deducted and given to charity...
on last nights performance Carragher, Reina, Kyrgiakos, Masch would just about keep their money...

In all my 39 years of supporting Liverpool i have never been so ashamed, as i was last night and still am now....

Both Rafa and the yanks to blame...maybe with Bellamy, Crouch and Risse who we sold to pay for others, then maybe things would be different....but we sold Keane cos we had cover with *sobs* Voronin...then we bloody sell him and don't replace!

OK that's it actually, Barticus now officially offers his services to LFC! Play Henry the 5th at the start of the game, Gladiator, the new Spartacus series even!!! No one's listening to Rafa anymore, play for pride and this Glorious club.
Never surrender, never ever give up and You'll never walk alone!!!!!

They think it's all over.....it is now!

Well maybe......who knows.  Been a funny old season with lots of teams getting strange results.  4th now look more difficult than ever.  Benetiz already stated that we could not afford any more hiccups, and we have....again!

Aqua man?  Who.....forgotten £20mil man.  Is the guy injured?

My love of football is slowly being strangled day by day.........

Thanks
A very depressed fan!

I've slept on it and it's even worse in the morning...after a nights restless sleep. I am calm though and will not rant.
It's absolutely clear that the team no longer trust Rafa. They don't want to play for him and methinks there's serious trouble at mill. Gerrard has been like this since Alonso was allowed to go and the seeds of dissention have grown from there.
Carragher and Kyrgiakos were the only one's to show any fight and class, rather than look like petulant schoolgirls...
As for standing firm on Aquilani, and yet plays his darlings kuyt and lucas and his new one maxi rodriguez, that's just a laff! Babel would be a much developed player now under nearly any other manager, at least he'd get a game.

It speaks volumes that on this forum there would be predictions for the game ahead, 3-0's, 4-0's and yet all was quiet for Wigan and Blackburn before that. I think in our heart of hearts that we never know this season.

I have now sadly had enough of the negative football that we play under Rafa...i've heard all the statistics about how we score x amount and concede y amount, but this season that's damning anyway. It's not about stat's anyway, it's about pride, passion and skill. Graham Taylor always talked about stats and Rafa is heading the same way. If any of you saw the Arsenal misses at the weekend, can you imagine Torres missing them?

We are in EXTREME danger of not even getting into Europe! We're already reliant on other teams messing up...if each team around us wins their game in hand..the table will look like this...
4. Man Citeh......29......55 points...
5. Villa              29......54 points...
6. Spurs............29......52 points
7. Liverpool        29      48 points
8. Everton         29      44 points!!!!

7 points off 4th...

We need Dalglish to take over till the end of the season at least, to give us even a glimmer of hope for 4th. To give an added spur to the players who have given up hope of ever getting a fair deal under Rafa, to give a kick up the backside to those who think they're gods gift.

We've been like the Titanic since the first game with Spurs, but we need a first mate to tell the Captain about that large bloody bit of ice, that they're heading for. No more 'i see no icebergs, full speed ahead!' or 'We have turned a corner, full speed ahead!'

Enough is enough.

I don't know why I let myself get so hung up over this now. Football is soulless. Not becoming soulless, it is soulless. Those players out there tonight showed no guts, heart, determination, passion, desire... But guess what? Every one of them will pick up a paycheque at the end of the week, on the back of a disgraceful performance (yet again). Earning more in one week than my entire family combined would earn in about 3 years at the moment. Working hard, long hours...

Soulless, sponging, corporate crap. My patience is worn to the butt... I'm very angry tonight. Time to stik to my local club. A club that appreciates my input. A club that appreciates the 5euro entrance fee. A club that appreciates my voice at the match... I'm sick
