Team News: Benny in for Masch and Hyppia in for Agger. Babel doesn't start - again. I can see him coming on at 60 mins - Rafa is very consistent on this time for subs.

The balance looks okay in terms of attack. I would have preferred Babel to Benny but the most important thing is the 3 points.

GEORGE Gillett today visited Anfield for the first time since September.

The reasons for his surprise visit are unclear but Liverpool's co-owner spent several hours at the stadium before leaving this afternoon.

Gillett was last in Liverpool three months ago for the Reds clash with Manchester United.

On that occasion, the American watched the game from the directors box and he is expected to take in tonight's match between Liverpool and West Ham.

Meanwhile, reports today emerged in the USA suggesting Gillett is struggling to refinance $75m of personal debt.

The Sports Business Journal claims Gillett borrowed the money from Mill Financial in January this year and is due to be repaid next month.

The report also claims that Springfield Financial Company, which Mill Financial is a branch of, is trying to sell the debt and there has been interest in it from at least one suitor who is interested in acquiring Gillett's stake in Liverpool Football Club.

The Journal believes Gillett himself is trying to buy the debt with the help of investors.

Here is the story, I think that the 2 are in for quite a bit of a shock at some point next year.  My reason for thinking this is because there is approximatly 3 trillion dollors of toxic debt in thje world and only 1 trillion has been written off.  This means according to the economics expert on newsnight that there will be more banks being bailed out and we have not yet hit the trough.  If we are only a third of the way through this banking crisis then we can expect it to go on until well into 2010.  The problems that the two owners are going to have is that none of the banks know who is holding the toxic debt or how much of the toxic debt they have.  A presenter who does BBC radio mesyside's football chat show reckons that at some point next year LFC wil have new owners, and with the revelations that GG is having trouble servicing the debts he already ha then i am beginning to believe more and more that this will be the case.

I'm willing to give the lad a chance and will be back him tonight but he has looked really dodgey so far...........if he doesn't improve, and wiv fabio out, i'm gonna have to start taking a collection to get the Dude signed by Rafa....i might have a raffle.

im going to go for a streaky 2-1. Have a feeling we'll win tonight but not without some anxiety 1st. We absoloutely must win tonight if we are going to win the league. Champions in this position don't lose these games. Although it's by no means predictable, we have to assume that there's a possibility we will drop points against the other of the big 4, whether it's home or away, despite our two victories so far. With that in mind, we need these 3 points to cushion any blows.

Have to start with the right tempo and get about them, if so then 3 nil sounds good!

Hard to see the lad getting to the level that is required. When compared to Glichy, A Cole, Evre or Bridge, he falls well short.
